Brewed for our trip to the Fresh Hop Ale Festival, the second of the year’s Embrace the Resin series was brewed with Citra, Citra and more Citra and then steeped on 25 lbs. per barrel of fresh Citra hops from Yakima Chief/Perrault Farms. This assertively bittered West Coast style IPA boasts flavors of melon, stone fruit and hints of resin and floral notes from the fresh hops. A big, bold and beautiful beer for an amazing festival.

Draft pour enjoyed at Hop and Hound, as part of their fresh hop event. Smooth imperial. Juicy citrus hop character. Gentle rich malts. Caramel malt, lemon and grapefruit secondary. Drinks under the imperial status for sure, though there is a little heat that creeps up at the end. Overall an enjoyable imperial.
