Deep ruby in colour with a gentle warming fruity aroma with a hint of hoppy floral character. The first flavour is of a fruity warmth followed by dark toffee character with by hints of roasted flavours. The finish is crisp spicy bitterness. Deep complex and satisfying.

Bottle: Poured a burnt orange with a huge carbonated white head. Aroma is sweet malts, caramel, fruits, biscuit, citrus. Taste is bitter carbonated bite forward, malty, toffee, biscuit, fruity, light citrus, mellows a bit at the finish.

Bottle. Poured dark ruby brown with a small just off-white head. Aroma of toffee, roasted malt, dried fruit, light hop and flowers. Medium sweetness, moderate bitterness. Moderate body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

Cask @ GBBF 2016. Pours an amber color with a small off-white head. Has a fruity malty caramel and dark fruit aroma. Fruity malty caramel flavor with weak hoppy hints. Has a fruity malty caramel and dark fruit finish.

By gravicask at Chelmsford & Mid Essex Winter Beer Festival. Almost mahogany coloured body. Bubbly off-white head. Caramel aroma, semi-sweet. Spiced mid-sweet malty flavours. More sweet than bitter to the ending. Decent (16.02.2017).

Cask @ Chelmsford Winter Beer festival. Pours golden with an offwhite head. Aroma of malt, little caramel, wood, grass. Flavor is light sweet, malt, caramel, wood, fruit. Medium body, soft carbonation, light sweet finish. 160217

Cask at GBBF, day one, 09/08/16. Chestnut brown with a decent beige cap. Nose is biscuit malt, light floral spray, fruit esters, pinch of spice. Taste comprises fruit cake, spice, toffee, candied fruit. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, semi drying close with an underlying level of earthy bitterness. Ok.

Sampled @ GBBF Day 2. Clear reddish to red-brown color, small off-white head. Smell and taste malts, caramel, slightly butter, slightly bitter and in the middle sometimes a sweetish hint of brown candy sugar. Average to decent body and carbonation.
