0.5l bottle. This is a clear deep ruby-brown one with a big creamy-tan lacing head. Smells quite nice. There's chocolate, fruity citrusy hops and some hints of roastiness. There is also a subtle but present tone of Danish toilet water. Not to disturbing, but clearly present. It's averagely carbonated and it has a nice oily mouthfeel. Lovely hoppy in the taste. Hoppy with something reminding me of chocolate milk. I get clear licorice and more of it as the beer gets a bit warmer in the glass, a soft roastiness - but quite subtle- and in the end a light mineraly sensation. Almost warming aftertaste. Not bad at all this one, but something is lacking. 18.09.2012

Bottle shared with (and courtasy of) Veitafan. The colour is deep reddish brown, slightly hazy, and with a big light beige bumpy head. Roasted aroma of burned wood, wort and lots of malt. Lots of wort in the flavour as well along with some wood, leather, something sweet and some dried fruit. Feels light and slick in the mouth, and a pretty light bitterness. Surprisingly light and mild beer. An easy-drinking beer which doesnt feels like an IPA nor stout. Mild anyone? Oh no, its 7% ABV (!).

Medium beige head. Clear brown body with lots of little particles and some carbonation. Earthy roasty dusty aroma with citric kiwi notes. Dry-sweet roasty chocolatey milky taste with herbal earthy gooseberry notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft, mealy mouthfeel. Dry earthy roasty chocolatey aftertaste with softly milky burnt gooseberry and kiwi notes. Really nice and highly drinkable. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.)

500ml bottle form Vinmonopolet Vika. Noisy, fawn-coloured head reduced to a few bubbly patches. Good amount of lacing. Dark brown coloured body. Smell of brown malts and dark fruits. Lightly spiced malt-fruity taste followed by bittersweet liquorice towards the ending. Foamy in the mouth. Medium bodied. Quite easy to drink. On par with the high standard of the style (hotel room, Oslo 14.09.2012).

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet, Vika. Pours deep red with an off-white head. Aroma of roasted malt, citrus, fruits and hops. Medium body and carbonation. Finishes quite dry with a pleasant bitterness. Well balanced combination of dark and roasty aromas with the hoppy ones. Very nice BIPA! (2012-09-15)
