Unser Kärrners Hell ist ein typisches „Helles“. Es ist ungemein süffig, mild, leicht malz- und hopfenaromatisch und wenig bitter. Diese Note erzielt unser Brauerei-Team durch eine ausgewogene Komposition heller Pilsner- und Karamellmalze, eine abgestimmte Menge feinstem, weltbekanntem Tettnanger Aromahopfen und dem Bad Orber Brauwasser. Herausragend bei diesem Bier ist ein feines, grasig-fruchtiges Hopfenaroma, abgerundet durch leicht blumige Nuancen. Unser Brauereimeister hat den Dreh heraus: Eine späte Hopfengabe am Ende der Würzekochung erhält diese besonderen Hopfenaromen für das Bier, ohne dem Bier dabei eine zu bittere Note zu verleihen.

Bottle, 100cl. An almost clear one, golden in color and with a small, off-white head. Very weak aroma, with some fruityness and pale malts. The flavor is more interesting, and more pronounced. Quite simple and straight forward, but balanced and tasteful. Pale malts, fruityness and some bitterness. Quite dry, medium body, and lacking a bit on carbonation. A quite pleasant one. 130215

Bottle @ The 4th Annual Fastelavns-Tasting Ulfborg, 2013. Pours cloudy yellow with a white head. Hay, grass and mild yeast. Smooth and dry.

Hazy blond color; compact head. Mild but pleasant cereals and hop aroma. Quite dry mouthfeel and lean body; there is a mild cereals and malt flavor, followed by a decent hopping that timidly show some hop quality. Pleasant.

Cloudy blond color; nice aroma of hop, light malt, light sweetness. Good malt flavor, quite sweet for a Helles, but still with some light biting touch; good bitterness level, it’s a quite good quality hopping, but not extremely grassy like some of my favorite. Another solid and well brewed beer at Kärrners.

From a huge bottle, shared with and courtesy of the enormously generous fiulijn (huge thanks Alex!) Poured a murky yellow body with thick white head. Nice sweet fruity hoppy nose, bit tropical fruit-like, mixing with the yeast. Nicely grainy, tropical fruit-like hopiness, almost edging with banana , weak bitterness, very light soap. Alex claimed that it was even hoppier on tap and now I really want to try it that way, a very good Helles in my opinion.
