Dark brown. Really rich, raisiny, lots of chocolate syrup, some alcohol. Very sticky, and kind of flat. Like drinking chocolate syrup, and I don't mean that as a compliment. This just seems like a miss to me, when the only fun is figuring out if the alcohol cuts the sweetness enough in the finish or not. Hm.

On tap. Pour black with little head. Aromas of nutty dark chocolate and icing sugar. Flavors of dark chocolate ice cream, dark sugars, almonds and dry roasted malts.

3 separate trials of enjoyment here. Draft at Winter Beer Fest, enjoying every minute of Steve’s costume, nitro at the brewery, and nitro elsewhere. Incredible beer here, and much thanks to everyone who chipped in on filling me in on what the beer name is referencing. I seem to pick up on most of their beers. Rating mostly the regular draft pours I had at beer fest, which I felt better displays the beer. Pours black with no head, apart from the nitro pours. Aroma is a strong, milky chocolate. A dominant cherry chocolate chunk flavor, nutty, with an almond. Reminded me instantly of the Cherry Garcia ice cream. Certainly doesn’t have an imperial feel to me. Smooth, chocolate heavy, without being super rich. Overall, a delicious effort here.
