33cl bottle thanks to BenH. Appearance - opaque black with a lovely fawn crema head. Nose - roast malt and burnt raisins. Dark chocolate edge. Taste - chocolate and sultanas with a spicy note lurking in the background. Palate - medium bodied with a creamy texture and a nice balanced finish. Overall - expected to get a bit more fruit but it’s still tasty.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours deep dark brown, thin tan head. Aromas of raisins and mixed fruit, not surprisingly. Taste is more of the same, with a strong orange note, toffee sweetness. Rich and full-bodied. Good.

This beer courtesy of Craig, thanks very much my friend! Consumed at home in the garden Sunday 11th August 2013 Black with large beige gead, very lively but thankfully poured in the garden, christ this is lively. Just a hint of a sour edge, its fruity and yes there is a little Christmas cake edge. There is no heat but I feel that I can taste a bit of chilli, little sticky. It’s fine, thanks again Craig.
