Sampled thanks to cgarvieuk, 12oz bottle pours a murky brown with no head. Nose has mild smoke, quite a bit of tea, brown malt, brown sugar. Flavor is sweet with turbinado sugar, plenty of black tea, brown sugar. Peppery finish. Could be worse.

Bottle at Craig’s. Pours hazy dark brown. Smoked tea aromas, oats there too. Toasty on the taste. High carbonation prickle. Good stuff though.

Thanks to Mr Garvie himself! Gusher! When under control it’s an opaque dark brown beer with a small pale tan head. Palate is light, airy and pretty dry. Mellow and dry dark malt. Pretty mild smoke. There is a different type of tang here that I would not normally associate with a porter so I assume is the tea. Finishes dry. Interesting but (cough) not my cup of tea!

Bottled. A black beer with a huge fluffy dark brown head, seems infected. The aroma has notes coffee, brettanomyces, and roasted malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, coffee, and hints of brett, leading to a dry roasted finish. The body is light.

Bottle at Chriso’s Pre-GBBF Shindig 2013. Long-lasting gusher! It pours cloudy deep brown with a small beige head. The nose is roasted malt, coffee, toast, earth, toasted oat and mild acidity. The taste is roasty, earth, toast, dry-roast, coffee, light smoke and burnt cocoa and dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Interesting,,,,
