Bottle from Purely Cornish, Looe. Golden-brown with a small head. Lots of sediment at the end, this beer was sat in my cellar for 5 or 6 years before opening and was fine. Midly fruity but very flavoursome old ale all the same, good aroma too. Lowish bitterness.

Bottle 500ml. @ ChrisO Snow Tasting.Clear medium to dark amber colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dusty, keller. Flavour is moderate sweet and light bitter with a long duration, keller, fruity, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130120]

Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting, thanks to Chris, 20/01/13. Almost clear dark amber with a thin off white head. Nose carries malt, orchard fruits, sugars, hints of vinegar, wood. Taste follows not a lot of depth to the flavours. Medium bodied with moderate carbonation with a touch of bitterness in the dry finish. Below average beer - Meh !

Bottle at ChrisO Snow tasting. It pours hazy deep amber with a small white head. The nose is wood, vanish, wood polish, dried berry and subtle orange peel. The taste is wood, leather, varnish, spice, tangy fruit, wood polish, orange peel and light alcohol warmth with a dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit restrained in the flavour department, but not bad.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - thanks to someone, but I’m not sure who. Pours clear, red-amber with a fine, white cream head. Some dry fruits on the nose. Light to medium sweet flavor with tangy fruits, dry leaves. Light to medium bodied with average carbonation. Fairly dry to finish with tangy fruits, berries. It’s OK, but seems a little bland.

Bottle from St. Ives. Pours hazy over-ripe apricot with a creamy beige head. Aroma is fruity, and the flavor is quite fruity with some toasted caramel. There’s fairly strong fruit in a lightly bitter finish.

Cloudy medium-brown. The aroma shows abundant dark fruit and a little bit of citrus. A bit thin and tart, perhaps not at its best. Light caramel and fruit. Not really a top notch beer.
