Seasonal Yule special, using crystallised rye malt for a bright red-berry flavour and well bittered with a melange of the spicier Kent hops to lend a distinctively festive character.

Cask at the Cock Tavern - Hackney. Pours clear copper with a frothy, off-white head. Light sweet flavour with toasted whole grains, a little earth, notes of ripening berries, mild bitterness. Light bodied with fine carbonation; decent condition. Finishes with some nice grassy bitterness, dried berries, earth, toast. Sound.

Cask. Pours dark amber/ruby, a white head which leaves plenty of lacing. Fruity, spicy aroma. Very malty taste, bitter hops, dark fruit hints, some cinnamon. Good.

Gravity dispense at Pig’s Ear Festival 2008, London
Amber color. The caramel aroma strangely has a honey tone, appreciated. The flavor instead, has something wrong, vegetables, diacetyl. Strong bitterness.

Cask handpull at The Chambers, Folkestone. Ruby/deep copper colour with lasting beige head. Rich malty aroma with earthy hops. Good condition in mouth, malt is a little syrupy, then soft earthy hops kick in . Bit of a sipper this one. Decent winter warmer. Fruits are juicy and the hop finish grows on you. Got better as the pint went down.
