Jolly is back!!
This being our second festive beer, and this time it is bigger, better, less clovey, and more satisfying.
We have balanced oats, spices(mainly chilli and ginger) and a good dose of British and American hops, which has created a rich blend of our favourite winter flavours.

Bottle from the Beers of Europe Christmas Crate. Black pour with a dark beige head. Aromas of chocolate, coffee and rather oddly- varnish. Flavours of coffee, crème caramel, chocolate and smoke. Quite dry. Long dry, malty finish.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. 5.5%. Pours dark brown, long-lasting beige head. Aromas of chocolate and light Christmas spices. Taste is peppery, more chocolate. Creamy texture, warming finish. Nice.

Cask at the Pigs Ear BF 2012 - London. ours clear brown with a fine, beige foam head. Winter spices in the nose, some pine. Light to medium sweet flavor with semi-dark malts, earth, more winter spices, dark bread, light pine. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Lightly dry on the finish with further semi-dark malts, some orange citrus, earth. Decent stuff.

Cask (gravity) @ 29th Pigs Ear Beer and Cider Festival 2012, at The Round Chapel in Hackney, London, England.Clear medium to dark red brown color with a small to average, frothy - fizzy and open, good lacing, mostly to fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, caramel, dark malt, spicy, licorice. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, licorice, spicy, christmas spices. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20121205]

Danke an Scopey. Herb-röstiger Antrunk mit (starken) Schokoladennoten im Hintergrund. Rund würzig, weiterhin stark röstig. Leicht hefig, milde steigende Bitterkeit. Deutlich holzig, Karamell, das Aromenspektrum erweitert sich. Schokoladig bitteres Finish mit starker Hopfennote. 11/12/11/12/12/12

Gravity Dispense at Pig’s Ear BF, London - 05/12/12. Mahogony brown with a thin tan head that clears to the edge and leaves a film. Nose is pine, hops, light mint, fresh spruce bark. Taste comprises herbal tones, pine, hops, caramel, wood. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. Decent.
