US STYLE PALE ALE Our distinctive American pale ale is full of big hop character but without the strong bitterness. Carefully selected American hops are added continuously during the boil and also during conditioning (dry hopping) to give a really fresh aromatic boost. This beer is mainly about hops but we have given it a malt backbone to balance the beautiful tropical fruit aromas. ALLERGENS: Wheat & barley malt

Old rating - A 500ml bottle, 4.6 ABV, brought home from my Bristol trip in 2014, Drank in my home 13/12/14, as Different bottle of beer in my home No 833.
Second bottle from Waitrose in Jersey on 20/01/21, pours amber with a foamy white head. Aromas & tastes of citrus, biscuit, pine & malt. Medium body. Well balanced. Dry bitter finish. Much more enjoyable this second bottle

500ml bottle from Morrisons Online. Nice clear amber with creamy off-white head, nice retention. Sweet, fruity, citrus and malty aroma; fairly fresh on the nose. Taste is zesty, fruity, and malt, touch of spice, light dry bitter finish. Nice smooth mouthfeel, a little oily. Very good.

My 1,111th brewery... On cask at Oxbow, Woodhouse Mill - clear ruby red body, good white top. Loads of caramel, malts, bitter hoppiness, some resin there, toffee. Good solid glass of drink.

After a long hot Saturday of doing f all this was the beer to start the evening. I'd been for a soak in the hot tub so I needed something cool and refreshing. A slightly flat pour but looks good in the glass. Hops, bitterness, length and mouthfeel all present and very agreeable to drink. All round good beer.

Cask at Ebenezers, Crewe. Pours a cloudy golden orange with a sizeable white head and good lacing. The aroma has citrus, oranges and hints of pine. In the mouth it starts off sweet and malty but floral hops quickly make themselves known, alongside peaches and oranges. Later still there are herbs and pine resin pus traces of spices and crackers. Took a while for me to get used to it (served too cold), but this is quite nice and pleasantly tasty. UPDATE : went back the next day with a friend, and she had this beer - which poured clear ! Looks like a rerate is required...

Cask at The Harp. Pours a light gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges and laces. Aroma has grass and earthy Citra with a bit of rind and light grain backing. Flavor has a grass and grain combo with light citrus and rind supporting.
