44cl can from AbeerVinum, Rimini, Italy. Pours dark brown, with no foam. Aroma is toasty. Body is just above average, with moderate carbonation. Taste is strong toasted. Final is average.

Can 44 cl. Pours black with an orange hue and a rough, beige head. Sweet roast aroma with a hint of diacetyl. Medium body, sweet roast and licorice with a low carbonation. Very British. 270525

440ml can. Black with moderate sized beige head. Roasted malts, vanilla, chocolate, cola in aroma and taste. Sweet and sour note in the finish, moderate bitterness. Medium bodied, a touch sticky. Enjoyable.

Keg @ Victorian Craft Beer Cafe, Halifax. Very dark, but not fully, with a creamy-smooth light-brown head. Lovely and smooth in the palate with subtle vanilla flavours within a fairly roasted maltiness.

Black with a tan head. Aroma of vanilla coffee. Flavour is hints of cherry gateaux, vanilla bean on a sweet chocolate base.

(Cask at Cock Tavern, Hackney, London, 17 Nov 2023) Dark brown colour, almost black, with brief head. Malty, roasted nose with notes of chocolate, vanilla, milky coffee and caramel. Malty, roasted, sweet taste with chocolate, vanilla, caramel, nuts and a mild roasty bitterness. Medium body, quite sweet. On the sweet side, but rich and really tasty. Very nice.

Keg at House of Hop, Darlington. Gluten Free. Black colour with reddish tinge, foamy tan head and aroma of malt, vanilla. Taste is malty, powdered chocolate, dried fruits, vanilla, coffee, roasted notes, with earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, roasty nutty malty bitter finish. Nicely drinkable

Cask, third pint. @CAMRA GBBF Winter Festival 2023, Burton-On-Trent (UK). 17/02/2023 [#5.860 Global - #637 England - #1 Brass Castle Brewery (My English Brewery #206)] Pours very dark brown with a tan head. Aroma: loaded with chocolate malts and vanilla. Taste: again dark chocolate and vanilla. Roasty mouthfeel. Mild bitterness. Next one please!
