Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - close to opaque black but with a toffee orange chink. Nose - soy sauce and and charcoal. Burnt sugar. Big booze note. Taste - salt and caramel. With crude oil over the salt caramel. Palate - close to medium bodied with an oily texture and a long dry finish. Overall - more interesting than good.

6th April 2014
Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Palate is crispy and slightly dry. Tangy dried fruits, salty hops, little unsweet caramel, marmalade. Whispers of soy and brown sugar. Mild red berry fruits with touches of sherry and port wine. All these flavours come together very well indeed. Very complex well aged beer.
