Bottle. Aroma, is slight, nor as strong as some beers but it is skunky, with a malty coffe smell. Taaste is watery, malty, good balance slight skunk. Nice dunkel color. dark and brown, lovely actually. slight head no lace.

Neumarkter Lammsbräu Dunkel, 5,4 %, Flasche aus einem Alnatura-Biomarkt in Berlin-Lichterfelde. - Dunkles Kastanienrotbraun, klar. - In der Nase kurzes, trocken röstiges dunkles Malz, Anklänge an Kirschkonfitüre, dezente herbale und hopfenwürzige Hopfung. - Antrunk kernig röstmalzig mit dunkler Brotkruste, Mokkaschokolade und sparsamer Süße mit einer Andeutung von Karamel. Dezente herbale Hopfung wird durch feine kaffeesaure Fruchtigkeit ergänzt. Etwas zu stark rezent, was die Vollmundigkeit beeinträchtigt - hier muß man erstmal die überschüssige Kohlensäure aus dem Glas schütteln. Im Abgang trocken malzbitter und dezent hopfenherb. - Unerwartet kerniges, solide röstmalziges Dunkles, ein wenig hart vielleicht. Bei Bio-Bier erwarte ich immer was Lasches, hier durchaus zu Unrecht. (8.6.2024.)

Schön malzig, leicht röstig / bitter, minimale Traubensaftnoten, Spuren von Kaffee. Für ein dunkles Bier relativ süffig. Die Menge an Kohlensäure ist für diesen Zweck nahezu ideal gewählt. Lebendig, nicht zu spritzig und sicher nicht zu weich. Macht Spaß - und Bio ist es auch noch.

(Bottle) Brown colour with creamy, beige head. Malty, slightly roasty nose with brown bread, treacle-toffee, raisins, a touch of chocolate and spices. Malty, toasty taste with notes of chocolate, dark bread, treacle-toffee, roasted hazelnuts, bread spices and a mild spicy bitterness in the finish. Medium body, with a touch of sweetness. Harmonious and tasty dunkel. Nice one.

500 ml bottle. Unclear dark reddish, foamy head. Caramel, roasted malts, dried fruits, nuts, some citrus. Malty sweetness, mild dry bitterness. Medium bodied, oily watery texture, soft carbonated, dry malty sweet finish. Decent.

0.5 l bottle from local 'Raiffeisen', best before October 2020. Clear, deep amber with a thin, frothy, stable, off-white head. Sweetish-malty, a little floral aroma of honey and some caramel. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of caramel, some honey and hints of sultanas, followed by a short, moderately bitter, a little dry finish. Medium body, slightly effervescent mouthfeel, soft to average carbonation. Okay!
