Neumarkter Lammsbräu EdelPils Zzzisch, Fläschchen von Edeka, Berlin. - Goldgelb, klar. - In der Nase etwas derbe, leicht schwefelige Hopfung, die an ein Industriebier denken läßt. - Antrunk sehr schlank hellmalzig mit blasser, trockener Zitronenschale. Ganz zarte Restsüße. Milder rezent, fast dünn. Im Abgang herbe aber schmalspurige grasig-zitronenschalige Herbe. - Pilstypisch herb gehopft aber recht eindimensional: ich vermisse die saftige Malzigkeit und die reiche Hopfenaromenpalette eines bairischen Pilsners. Bio allein reicht nicht. (7.9.2021: 2,7.)
Neubewertung aus der Maurerflasche (von Alnatura) als EdelPils. - Die Hopfung würde ich jetzt nicht mehr als leicht sondern als mild aber aromatisch bezeichnen; das ganze Bier hat etwas Luftiges an sich ist aber rund und sehr gediegen. Die Herbe mag etwas milder sein als ich es von einem Pilsner erwarte, aber das Ergebnis ist durchaus überzeugend. Verdient eine deutliche Aufwertung. (25.6.2024: 3,2.)

Bottle on the train during the Bamberg Jolly - January 2014. Pours clear pale yellow with a frothy, white head. Tasty, some nice spicy hops, hay, pale cereal, light husky grains. Light bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish, some dried cereal, lightly bitter hay. Good stuff.

0,5 l bottle. Pour clear yellow with medium, quite quickly dissipating white head that leaves thin veil. Aroma is quite flowery and herbal with sweet, pollen like malt notes. As head disappears so does hop aroma. Flavor follows aroma with much more prominent pilsener malt notes. Taste is light sweet and medium bitter. Finish is long, pleasant bitterness lasts a while.

Frisch herb. Florale und fruchtige Zitrusnoten (Grapefruit, Zitronenschale). Angenehme bittere Note (man merkt sofort, dass man es hier mit einem Pils zu tun hat - und mehr muss auch nicht sein). Recht leicht und süffig. Einen Hauch zuviel Kohlensäure, die ist aber schön feinperlig und macht das Bier recht lebendig. Rohstoffe aus biologischem Anbau - das gibt Sympathiepunkte. Nicht jeder trinkt gern Glyphosat- und Neonicsrückstände (sauberes Bier für saubere Säufer).

# 1750; 1/2020. Spicy, malty, slightly grainy. Straw, clear. Fresh, malty, spicy, herbal, high carbonation. Very good german pilsner. 0,33 l, green bottle, local shop, Schönsee (D).

330ml bottle [Thanks Gunnar!]. Clear, orangey, pale golden colour with small to average, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Griany, strawy malty and slightly bitter, hoppy aroma. Taste is moderately bitter hoppy, slightly strawy, grainy malty. Minimally oily texture, smooth and soft palate, fine, prickly carbonation. Simple - OK.

Flasche bei BioCompany Helles, klares Gold-Gelb, viel Kohlensäure, wenig aber fester Schaum Malz, etwas Hopfen, Zitrus Leicht cremig Geschmack nach Bauernhof, Malz, wenig Bitter.

Optisch in der Pilsstange ein Träumchen. Schönes Gold, hektische Feinperlung, toller Schaum. In der Nase hopfig grasig. Im Trunk grasig, dann aber recht schwach, nahezu wässrig. Ach schade, das hat echt stark angefangen.

Bottle from Dortmunder: thanks! Soapy and somewhat flowery aroma with just a touch of hops. Medium to full bodied. Malt, cologne, vanilla. A fair deal of hopbitterness. Boiled milk. Hints of licorice. Original review text: Salt and hay aroma with a hint of licorice. Medium to full bodied. malty and grassy flavor with some licorice. Very un-pilsener like, but a fairly well made and tasty beer.
