We usually buy organic products , mostly for the kids, and this is my favourite of the organic beers (which usually are not the best :D ). Yellow with a small white head. Fizzy. Nice aroma of caramel malt and grass hop. Flavor is quite nice balanced between caramel, bread and grass hops. Qutie enjoyable.

Bottle from mein-biershop. Poure clear golden with a frothy white head. Very herbal aroma with some fresh hoppy notes as well. Flavor is sweetish malt and weak hops. Not much bitterness. The taste does not live up to the aroma, but still a decent pilsener, although quite light, but not watery.

Biologically friendly German beer.... just like it was for most of history. But anyways, Pours with a modest head that disappears quickly and a yellow-white body with a bit of fog. Aroma is cereal, grain, a bit of rye bread. Taste is a lot of cereal and grain, some hops. Wet finish. Decent enough, but hard to tell apart from other pilsners.

Sampled from glass, another rating from April’s Glunz Beer Expo. Cloudy, unfiltered but with a nice ring of foam in the glass. A generic lager taste at first. Too pale and a little hazy, instead of the usual golden pilsener color. Malts run a little to the sweet side. I guess I can recognize this as a Bavarian lager instead of a traditional pils, I think. A bit too sweet for me. Hops need to have more balance to it. It does go down nicely, at least. Hey, I just did the 100th rating for this beer. For whatever that’s worth.

Pretty good pilsner. Pale lemon yellow body with a fizzy white head. Slightly hazy. The aroma is bready and grassy. There’s good hop and malt character, giving the beer a nice balance for a pilsner. Flavor is mildly sweet with a nice hop bite in the finish. It’s not a terribly complex beer, but it’s quite drinkable. Mouthfeel is lively. Gentle hop oiliness coats the mouth after each sip. Also, the bottle is a fun shape. This is another good imported pilsner that I’d love to drink in large amounts, but the price is just too high to justify it for a session. It’s frustrating that there aren’t more similar American beers. I’d like to have some cheap local options.
