Flight at the meadery, April '19. Clear gold. Slight carbonation. Soy sauce, mellow spice, maybe ginger. Tastes of ginger marinade. Salt. Not quite thin. I really need to start making haikus out of these.

Me being a fan of ginger, I found this one to be one of my favourites. The ginger is very evident, while the spices were subdued. But a big, flavourful mead.

Synthethic cork bottle from Food Pantry, Waikiki, HI
The color is light amber, not completely clear. The aroma of ginger and cinnamon is quite strong and also fresh. It’s very dry, which doesn’t fit too much with the alcohol perception; the ginger and cinnamon flavor is average; there is not much mead or honey flavor here; the ginger adds, at least, a hot kick; the dryness allows to the typical mead soapiness to appear in the final.
I’m not fascinated by this.
