Cask at GBBF 2014 - London. Day 2. Pours black-brown with a tan froth crown. Big and treacly, with rich chocolate malts, some charred wood. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sticky sweet finish with notes of burnt sugars, strong charred malts, dark fruits. Not bad but a bit heavy duty.

17th July 2014: Pizza Port San Clemente, first flight, last beer on the paddle. Poured black, with a thin tanned head. The nose was all about burnt malts, with a sweeter undertone of treacle and dark chocolates (filled with caramel). The taste was a smooth extension of those aforementioned smells, but not so burnt and with a rich coffee thrown into the brew. Nice!

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Opaque dark brown beer, residual tan head. Palate is dry with fine carbonation. Dry rich dark malts. Unsweet dark chocolate, savoury like salted dark chocolate. Big roast and dark chocolate bitterness. Touch of soy. Dry finish. Savoury aftertaste. Not a fan, too savoury, bitter and dry. Quite hard to drink.
