Manhattan NW is a blend of sour quad and blond ales aged in bourbon barrels with sour pie cherries and apricot noyaux. A tribute to the classic Manhattan cocktail, this fan favorite features flavors of bourbon, maraschino cherries, bitter almond and a hint of malt sweetness.

23/IX/16 - on tap @ Borefts Bier Festival - BB: n/a (2016-1059) Thanks to the Belgian ratebeer crew for sharing today's beers!
Clear dark orange to red beer, no head. Aroma: lovely fruity smell first, then sourish, vinegar, bit funky, a dirty touch as well. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: very sourish start, lemon juice, some tannins, lots of fruit, thinking about raspberries (I didn't know what was in the beer when I drank it). Aftertaste: dirty touch, lemony, fruity. Wow, a Cascade I actually rather enjoyed. :p

Tap. Aroma is candy funk, citrus. Taste is more cinnamon, spicy, tart. I don’t like that candy too much.

On Tap at Bier:Thirty, Boise. Hazy red fruit punch color. Some coarse white ring bobbles, lots of sour cherries on the nose. Flavors as well are cherries and some warm soft flavors that round it out nicely. Plenty sour, yes, but full bodied and other soft fruit flavors that mellow everything out. Very good, complex but mellow fruit sour.
