Bottled. Coppery brown colour with a mediumsized beige foamy head. Aroma is Madeira wine, red wine, some alcohol, mild spiciness with some dried fruits and mild toffee. Flavour is having quite much the same elements, but also a rather nice big time bitter kick to it.

Bottle. An unclear, reddish dark amber colored beer with a dense, light beige head. The aroma is pretty vinous and boozy, with chocolate, candy, coffee and roasted malts. Vinous flavor too, slightly sourish in a way, with roasted malts, caramel, wood and vanilla. Some dark chocolate. Full body and a pleasant carbonation level. Lasting finish. A strange one, too boozy and vinous, but with some nice flavors going on. 140717

Opaque dark brown beer, big fluffy pale cream coloured head. Palate is light and semi dry with fine carbonation. Interesting beer! Sweet yeasty and minerally dark malt. Mild candy fruits. A little chocolate and dark fruits. Finishes dry with the yeast turning slightly bitter. Complex and tasty.

Bottle 33 cl. Pours a hazy amber with a creamy, beige head. Sweet burned caramel nose, a whiff of wood and also a discreet but fleeing note of phenols. Very rich and potent body, a little cherry, massive, massive woodiness - bordering a little much, yet I still very much enjoy it. Rather hot finish. Good one though! 220313
