0.5 l can courtesy of Doggythedog, thanks for sharing! It poured darker amber body with small brownish head that went down slowly. Caramel, fruity and a bit licorice and very slightly alcoholic aroma. Sweetish fruity, slightly coffee flavor with strong presence of alcohol. Medium to fuller body with fine bitterish herbal and caramel finish. OK one, quite drinkable and pleasant for what it is and where it’s from.

0.5l can courtesy of a friend who brought it from Romania (thanks Krešo!)Poured a lovely dark amber-red body with a medium ochre head that went away relatively fast. Sweet fruity malty aroma, nice and strong. Dry bittersweet taste, coffee and caramel, licorice, quite bitter finish. The alcohol isn’t all that evident but it’s warming. A surprise I guess and a good beer, though definitely not something most would like.

Can in Bucharest. Dark amber color with a white head. Aroma of caramel, fruits and some burnt malt.. Flavor was quite sweet. Ok aftertaste and bitterness. Clearly, a good beer compared to many of the other Romanian beers.

Canned (Thanks TBone!). Deep rubyish amber colour with mediumsized beige head. Leaves quite nice lace. Aroma is raisins, syrup, caramel malts and some mild notes of sour wood. Flavour is slightly smoked wood, syrup, mild alcohol and some slight grassy dryness. Way better than I thought when I saw the can.

Test vom 12.8.2008, Gebinde: Dose Noten: 6,7,7,8,11,8 - 7,65

Bottle (thanks mom!). BB 01/01/2009. Deep amber-brown color with medium, slowly-diminishing, beige head. Malty and slightly bready aroma with some caramel and a bit of chocolate. Sweet caramelly flavor with some toastiness and a drier finish with some alcohol and light herbal notes. Medium-bodied with a quite carbonated mouthfeel. Could be really good without the alcohol taste in the finish but still tasty anyway.

Can (BB 06/2009)
Chestnut brown color, small beige head. Alcoholic, caramelly, toasted nose. Caramelly rounded mouthfeel. Quite pleasant balance of alcohol, toasty malts and sweetness. This is a bit like Saku Tume. So far the best Romanian beer I’ve had.
