Our flagship pale is a classic British pale ale with a nod to the legendary beers of Burton-on-Trent. Copper-colored, dry, clean and crisp with lots of late hope taste in an appetizing complex with ale fruitiness from imported Hampshire yeast.
Ingredients: Two row English malt (pale, crystal and chocolate); Cascade, Mt Hood, Tettnang and Fuggle Hops.

Bottle. Light malt and hops aroma. Clear amber with small but lasting head. Light malt with moderate orange hops finish. Nice session beer.

Pours amber into a shaker. Fluffy off-white micro head with good retention leaves slight sheet lacing as it slowly recedes. Malt aromas. Soft with lasting sour malt finish that turns hoppy long after initial finish.

Poured a murky orange copper with a big foamy slightly off white head. Aroma is mild for a Pale Ale, hoppy and citrus but subtle. Flavor was solid, citrus and fruity, slightly malty. Watery in the mouth with a quick fading flavor. Average beer.

Lightly hazy golden ale with a nice creamy off-white head. Nice sweet malts with light hops. Dry scotch malt with light nutty notes, medium bodied. On tap at Blue Tusk, Summer 2005.

Paid $1.49 for a 12-oz single. Drk golden to light amber with a large white head. Smells hoppy, with little else. Taste is kinda bland, with some malt and hop, but no defined flavor. Finishes very dry.

2004 bottle @ Dos Amigos in Belfast, ME. Pours a lovely brilliant coppery color with a small white head. Aroma of light barley, hints of light almonds, dry crisp hops. Flavor is pleasantly bitter but has an ample balance and is no acidic. While this definitely remains an English Pale Ale, it ventures slightly in to American Pale ale category, with a good amount of hops. Though they are soily, and lightly herbal almost. Malt is dry and cookie like, and provides a great balance. A wonderful, drinkable beer, medium to medium full body, no thinning.

Burnt orage color - mild hop aroma with some orange peel and spice - quite spicy for a pale ale, with a very noticable apricot flavor - bready in the finish, with hops lingering a long while - perhaps a bit out of balance (there could be a better ratio of malt/hop flavors), but good none-the-less.

It's a fairly standard pale ale. Much better than what most of New England has to offer - at least there are hops in it.

Nice dark colour, a little dark compared to a 'normal' pale ale, but a nice shade. A clean semi-hoppy smell. Initially hoppy with an overpowering carbonation and absence of aftertaste.
