This blend of strong dark porters was aged in oak, wine and Bourbon barrels, then blended with a dark porter that had been brewed with vanilla beans and cinnamon. The blend was then aged an additional 14 months on dates

Sample at Borefts 2016. Poured a medium brown with a frothy light tan head. The aroma is rich alcohol bourbon. The flavour is moderate sweet with a rich sweet malt oily molasses alcoholic palate. Full bodied with soft carbonation.

On tap at Borefts Beer Festival, 2016. pours black, small tan head. Malty, fruity, berries, blackberries, plums, dark chocolate, pleasant sourness, vanilla, bourbon, wood, some sweetness. Medium to full bodied. Balanced and incredibly drinkable for the abv. One of the best beers of the festival for me.

At BBF, opaque black color, sourdough black bread with some toasty notes, flavor of soy, waffle and bread, sweet and sour intermingling. Really interesting But also a bit strange.

At Borefts 2016. thnx for sharing, everyone ! Pours black, smell is sweet, bit bourbon, OK. Taste is sharp, sour/sweet, roasty malts. Almost like a cherry aspect. OK, which is surprising for a sour stout, yet I still don’t get the fuzz and don’t think the combo is a nice thing.

Very dark brown colour. Aroma and flavour have plenty of vanilla sweetness. The tart finish is very palate cleansing.
