Talom Pale Ale

On tap at the brewpub. Medium creamy white head. Hazy golden pour. Lovely bitterness. Easy drinking

Tap at Chit Beer, Koh Kret. Poured a clear medium amber with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, tropical fruit, light woody hop. The flavour is moderate bitter, light sweet, with a smooth, malt, light citrus fruit, somewhat unpleasant alcoholic bitter palate. Medium bodied with moderate to soft carbonation. When this beer was first poured, it tasted pretty poor, but it did improve over time when it was allowed to breath. However, there is a really unpleasant skunky stale bitterness in the finish. It’s difficult to say what caused it or where it came from but given the previous review, consistency is a big issue with many of the small Thai brewers.
