Half-pint, cask ale at Pineapple, Kentish Town. Next-to-clear golden body, filmy layer from a tiny white, covering head. Moderate smell of grassy hops with a citric vibe. Mixed taste of lemony hops and cereal malts. Rounded, mid-dry fruity end. Decent (London, 06.12.2023).

Cask at Moon under Water, Wolverhampton. For some reason I was expecting a dark beer, so got a bit of a shock when it poured golden yellow with a small foamy white head and good lacing. There’s a little citrus in the aroma, but not much. In the mouth it is crisp, tangy, and somewhat sweet with floral hops and lemongrass. Some grians and hints of pepper as well. Finish is rather dry. Not bad at all – though a bit nondescript.
