Earthy rye and piny hop flavor and aroma meet spicy, funky characteristics from our farmhouse yeast in this American-inspired farmhouse ale.

Admin Note: This Farmhouse version replaced the original Wytchmaker Rye IPA when Jester King switched to a farmhouse yeast for all beers. The original bottles feature a small Jester King sticker on the neck; newer bottles do not have this sticker and say "Farmhouse" in small print on the label.

A bit sour on the nose, but pretty hidden in the flavour, which is overwhelming hoppy, but nicely so. Good balance with the overall body, but still not a fan of the rye, which I think clashes with the bitterness a bit. Online saveur bier

hazy golden with a white head - Good aroma of malts and hops that givers fruits - Good malt to support a very good hop profile with fruits and citrus , and good bitterness to follow - Lasting hop bitter finish - This was good

Bottle, 7.3%. Batch #7. Mild citric aroma, sweet malt and hay. Cloudy golden colour. Very big stable white head. The flavour has some vanilla at first, then comes sweetness, bitter alcohol and a rough bitterness. There is also citrus, sort of Bretty but not especially funky. High carbonation. Very slow gusher, but also very persistent.

Sample from bottle, RBNG 2014 in Halden, Grand Tasting. Cloudy golden colour, huge white head. Typical American IPA with its hoppy character in both aroma and flavour - I did not quite get the farmhouse notes, but it had been a long day ...

Cloudy golden color with a big frothy white head. Citric, fruity and some yeast in the aroma. Medium + body. Moderate sweet and a fine bitterness. Average carbonation. Lovely fresh citric, fruity, yeast, mild malty and mild spicy flavor. Lovely fine ale!
