Bottle from Hog & Partridge, St Neots. Colour on the dark side of toffee, cloudy. A bit of white head. Scent of caramel, bready malt with some soft raisin, strawberry and gardenia. Taste is sweet malt, very lightly bitter, with a sweet biscuity malty finish. This is pretty good really. Would have scored higher if not for its off-putting appearance.

Bottle at ChrisO Snow Tasting. It pours deep ruby with a small white head. The nose is caramel, bread, red berry and a touch of citrus. The taste is toast, red berry, caramel, leather, wood, citrus pith and a some plastic with a dry finish. Medium body and low carbonation. Smooth, but lacking in flavour. Very so-so.

Bottle at Chriso Snow Tasting, thanks to Chris, 20/01/13. Lightly hazed copper brown. Nose carries light citrus fruti, touch of pale malt, faint hops. Taste follows, pale malt mergeing with light fruity dulness. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, light bitterness in the finish. Sub par twiggy dullard.

Bottle at the ChrisO Snow Tasting, London - yet another Buckden score! Pours clear, light gold with a fine, bubbly white head. Dry, grainy bread aroma. Light sweet flavor with faint berries and semi-dark malts. Light bodied with average carbonation. Mellow dryness in the finish, with lightly toasted and bready malts and mild, leafy bitterness. A fine sessioner, nothing more.
