(Cask at Angleterre, 20150426) The beer poured deep golden and clear. Its head was small and white. Aroma had malts, caramel and earth. Palate was medium bodied with low carbonation. Flavours were malts, earth, sweetness, fruitiness and bitterness. Aftertaste was malts, sweet and bitter. A nice bitter leaning on the sweet side.

Hand-pulled cask ale at Exeter Arms. Half pint. Fragile lacing from a thin white head. Bright amber coloured body. Brown malty nose with a touch of dried fruits. Mixed taste of leafy hops, orange, and toffee. Bitter malt-fruity finish. True to the style. Drinks well (Derby 22.02.2015).

Cask at WJ Kavanugh’s, Dublin. Hazy amber. Caramelly nose with some citrus. Light-medium bodied with rounded mouthfeel. I get more caramel, than hops and it turns somewhat sticky. Low bitterness.

Cask, handpump at The Kilverts Inn, Hay-on-Wye, Herefordshire 31.12.11 Copper in colour, the aroma is a little strange, its quite fusty with some marzipan and citrus showing. Some watery grapefruit, a little sweetness and also a little juiciness but otherwise a bit thin & watery are my main impressions of this beer. Ok. A6 A2 T6 P2 Ov12 2.8
