Rich amber coloured body with a nice two centimetre tall tan head and a good copper glow. Aroma of hay, grass, coriander seed, malt, nuts and a very light hint of caramelised sugars. Medium-bodied; Assertive dry and herbal flavoured yeast flavours up front with a little malt and a lot of funky grain and wheat right behind and nothing flavourful in a good way - just bitterness with a defined nuttiness and some stale sugars. Aftertaste is bland to bad with some malt and grain and a touch of sugar. Overall, a pretty poor beer, especially for the style and even more so, considering the price. If you ripped this label off this and gave it to 100 people, 99 would say that this beer is not worth one single US dollar, period. I sampled this 33 cL bottle purchased from The Proper Pour (@TheSource) in Denver, Colorado on 07-June-2014 for US$7,00 (yes, seven American dollars for this one small format bottle) sampled back home in Washington on 04-August-2014.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy orange gold with small off white head that diminishes quickly. The aroma is wheat, grain, and fruit. Medium mouthfeel with a skunky taste and light fruit. Something off with this bottle.

25.11.13 Bottle 330ml Saveur. Slightly-hazy amber color, small steady white head, lace. Aroma has some tropical overriped fruits with yeasty notes. Medium-bodied. Fruity, dry spicey bitterness, notes of yeast. Lingering bitterness in the aftertaste. Most of the "biere de gardes" at RB are not biere de gardes but this could be one of them.

Pour is a hazy amber with a ginormous white head. Aroma is citrus fruit with some honey malt and yeast. Flavor is very herbal and flowery with more of a dark fruit. Finish has some earthiness and burnt caramel. Decent beer and a more fruity take on a BDG.

Bottled. Slightly hazy amber colour with a big foamy white head, that leaves good lace. Aroma is fruity, floral, herbal and earthy with some bready malts to it. Flavour is floral, herbal, crisp bready and caramelly malts to it along with some earth and mild wooden bitterness lurking. Wellbalanced, and pleasant.

Bottle picked up from Fietje, Marseille, France, June 2013 consumed at home Sunday 13th October 2013 Pours mid amber with off-white slightly creamy head. On the nose I get a little soft fuzzy fruit such as peach or nectarine but bit unripe. Fruity in mouth also but a bit yeasty sort of tastes a bit frumpy like it needs a workout, its fine but hardly memorable save for the cool label. Overall it’s a tangy, fruity, malty, yeasty beer with busy carbonation that could have done with a little more hoppiness. Its fine. A6 A4 T6 P3 Ov13 3.2

Bottle @ home picked up at Wilbur’s Foco. No date but the bottle has a tag on it like its from another store. Not sure if this is old product like the other Stillwater stuff distributed to Foco on their initial arrival. A bit of a gusher. Pours a slightly hazy golden orange appearance with a cream colored head. Spicy, orange fruity, somewhat funky, light white wine aroma. Tangy, somewhat strong, toasted malty, orange/tangerine fruity, spicy flavor. Pretty good.

bottle from saveur-biere. Hazy amber colour, mid-sized off-white to beige head. Malty base with a grainy touch, pleasantly and intensively hoppy towards and in the finish. Hints of caramel.
