Similar, heavily chicken soup-like appearance you know and love from BBCo's hoppy offerings. A bit more darker maize in this one, however, signifying the increased malt bill. Off-white head fizzles out quickly.
Stronger pineapple with light twang and nectarine-papaya in addition to the typical mango-lime. Biscuit, honey and even light vanilla with low ester/alcohol and little/no resin. Keep thinking these things are going to be big yeast/ester/resin/particulate bombs and they're shockingly well-conditioned.
Dry with tons of cracker, in the mouth, and prominent notes of orange-nectarine-papaya. Light pine prickles the palate, but never builds up and the plentiful, deep, sweet maltiness really balances nicely. The strongest of their beers that I tried and yet clean and well-presented, with good attenuation and tight carbonation. Touch of heat on the end, as it warms.

Poured from can thanks Ben Yelle hazy orange grapefruit juice with a minimal whitw head. Aroma is scallion earth floral hops pine and mild juice. Taste is scallion orange pineapple floral hops and a nice lingering pine bitterness.

4 oz. draft at the source. Three of the IPA’s in the flight had exactly the same appearance. The aroma had mild fruit but it was mostly grass and earthy pine. The flavor was very bitter, minor balance. Grassy and pine influenced with assertive, lasting bitterness. Medium in body. Enjoyed it a good amount.

Can: Poured a cloudy pale yellow color ale with a medium size foamy head with OK retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy floral undertones with some light tropical fruits with some light dry bitter notes. Taste is a mix of citrusy floral undertones with some light tropical notes, some residual sugar with quite a dry bitter finish. Body is full with good carbonation. A lot more bitter then style usually call for.

Draft at brewery, cloudy yellow white pour. Faint grapefruit nose, taste and finish is more pine than grapefruit.

Can. 9.0%. Very hazy, pale gold. Clingy, thin, bubbly, white head. Boozy legs. Nose has woody pineapple. Lemony grain. Not a lot in between. Maybe some tinned strawberry. Taste is chewy sweet. Gets oily bitter. A tad boozy. Fullish mouthfeel. Slightly boozy, sticky bitter finish. Ok.

Treated as a DIPA, I poured my can into a tulip. The appearance with a hazy burnt orange to yellow color and a thin little white head that dissipated immediately. Messy strewn about lacing but stays together.
The aroma leads with a blend of sweet oats/graininess. Subtle clean sweet tobacco, then papaya, mango and clementine. Grassy hops shoulder the arrangement of everything else to balance.
The flavor takes the oaty sweetness to blend with the tropical flavors nicely. Tobacco leaf freshness assists in leveling out the flavor. No aftertaste but finishes crisp and compelling with some tobacco leaf dryness.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fair sessionability about it. Carbonation feels good. Oats smooth things out in the feel.
Overall, really nice DIPA that is quite different than expected. Everything is there for the style but just takes some oats to smooth it out yet some tobacco leaf dryness to make it Burlington’s.
