Dark brown. No head. The aroma has a phenolic note, a touch of brown sugar. On the palate, the barrels are pretty strong here, some phenols, with a mellow sugar accent. Comes across a bit thin. Not sure that paint factory name is a good idea, since you're begging me to think about phenols.

500ml @ Salesforce. Appearance: almost black with a dark beige head. Aroma: roasted malts, some booze, charred oak, brown sugar, and molasses. Taste: along the same lines, kinda harsh and abrasive, boozy, roasted malts. It's getting much better while warming up. Overall: quite good when warmed up.

Poured from 1 pint .9 fl oz bottle (bottled 11/20/2023; #952/1220). Very dark brown with minimal beige head. Quite woody, boozy bourbon, but not great integration. Decent.

16.9 oz. bottle, pours black with a small tan head. Aroma is full of big bourbon barrels, wood, molasses, and alcohol -- a bit uncoordinated but has nice barrel character. Flavour is very barrel-forward, with tons of bourbon, moderate alcohol, molasses, and vanilla. The integration is not the most refined, but the woody barrel character is quite nice. Very good on the whole.

Bottle pour from membership group. Opaque black with decent viscosity, ring of head and no lacing. Aroma is toffee, roasted malt and strong bourbon. Taste is strong alcohol/bourbon, much milder roasted malt. Smooth texture, spicy heat, soft carbonation and finish as taste. Spiciness/alcohol overpowers other elements.

500 ml Bottle # 877 / 1220. Really should have held this a bit longer. The flavor profile is bold with traditional flavors of caramel, leather, soft char and toasted grain. Pretty present bourbon warming after the sip.

Bottled 11/20/23, drunk 8/31/24. Clear, dark. Tan bubbles on edge. Intense bourbon, alcohol, dry cherry, wood. Wet cigar. Not bad though you wonder if it's malty enough to balance. Rich malt, big attenuation and long chocolate with alcohol drying out the beer considerably. Spice, lead, wood, vanilla and dry toffee. Lingering raisin. Not hot, just intense. Bottle 877/1220.

11/20/2203 877/1220 bourbon for days. Would hold off on this one. Let it sit for another year.
