1/3 cask pour at GBBF Winter. Amber pour, with a small, stiff head. Aroma is malty, nutty, toffee. Taste mirrors the nose, rich malty flavors, silky smooth feel and a fair amount of bitterness at the end.

21/5/2018. Bottle at the Kiln, Newcastle. Pours thick mid brown with a small creamy off-white head. Had been fridge stored and took a while to clear as a result. Aroma of caramel, malt, fruit, berries, nut and bread. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, thick texture, average to soft carbonation. Nice bitterness to finish. Much better when it had lost its coldness.

Bottle thanks to allmyvinyl. Appearance - cloudy amber brown. Decent head. Nose - chocolate and toffee. Biscuits. Taste - spiced biscuit and light toffee. A persistent apple note keeps going. Palate - close to medium bodied with a crunchy texture and a long dry crunchy finish. Overall - solid but probably better on draught. A bit gnarly.
