Bottle 500ml.Clear medium to dark brown colour with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, chocolate, dark malt. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long to average duration, dark malt. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20121208]

Cask at Pig’s Ear BF, London - 05/12/12. Very dark mahogony brown with a thin tan head that retains well. Nose is light roast malt, oats, barley, touch of chocolate, a little subdued overall. Taste comprises chocolate, oats - porridge with melted Dairy Milk to be precise, liqourice. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, fairly smooth on the palate, dry finish.

Pigs Ear. Clear dark red - brown beer, pale tan head. Palate is a little dry and with fine carbonation. Smooth dark malts, a little cream and a trace of coffee. Mild bubblegum ester. Semi dry finish. Fair bit going on here. Not bad.

Cask at Pigs Ear BF 2012, London. Pours ruddy brown with a fine, beige cream head. Somewhat sugary chocolate nose with subtle roasted malt notes. Medium sweet flavor with dark sugars, semi-dark cocoa, light alcohol. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Light sticky sweet finish with more sugary chocolate, mellow roast and dark sugars. Alright.
