Combination rate taster pour on tap at Rare Fog day, 2022 and can (8/8/22)--thanks, Steve! It's an opaque dark yellow-light brown with light sparkle, finger-width off-white foamy head with poor retention and lots of nice lacing. Aroma is strong nondescript mix of sweet and tart fruit, a sweet, almost band-aid smell and grains. Taste is strong nondescript fruit (slight apricot/stone fruit) and malt backbone doing an admirable job of covering up the alcohol. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with thick texture, average carbonation, alcohol lurking in the background, and finish as taste. Overall, not the strong grapefruit or pine you’d usually expect from Mosaic. This seems like the recipe started at 10.5% alcohol and worked backwards to try to cover it up. Not great.
