True to its British roots, Raj – our English IPA – is aggressive where necessary but undeniably refined. Its deliciously floral bitterness is rounded out with a healthy dose of caramel malt that gives it a rich copper color.

Pours lightly hazy gold with a two finger lingering white head. Good lacing. Aroma is of citrus and resinous hops. The flavor is a straightforward citrus accented ipa. Moderate to strong bitterness. It works.

Darker golden coloured brew. Mild pale ale in style, with a few ineffective spicy notes.

On tap at Four Peaks in Tempe, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Aroma brings out earthy hops, some toasted caramel and bready malt. Flavour is along the same lines, with bready English malt and earthy, floral hops. Unexciting but clean and decently brewed. Okay.

Location: Draft at the Production Facility Tasting Room, 3/8/14

Aroma: The nose is decently hoppy, with plenty of citrus, some pine/resin, and a bit of caramel
Appearance: Pours a clear golden-amber color with an off-white head and some average lace
Flavor: The taste is nicely balanced, with some sweetness, and a solid amount of hop bitterness
Palate: The body is medium, it has a nice mouthfeel, and a good, clean finish to it
Overall Impression: I actually thought this was the best IPA that I tried at Four Peaks. Surprisingly, I enjoyed it more than the Hop Knot IPA. This is some tasty stuff.

A golden ipa with a thin creamy off white head. In aroma, sweet biscuit malt with floral hops, light chalky notes, nice. In mouth, a nice biscuit malt with grassy floral hops, light grapefruit, OK. On tap at Angel’s Trumpet.
