Rievaulx is rich chestnut coloured Yorkshire quad. Over ripe bananas dominate the aroma but subtle darker fruits and figs develop and percolate. Taste an initial big hit of banana followed by sugar, sherry and port like notes with a clean, full bodied warming finish

Bottle from Saltaire Wines, Saltaire. Dark amber with a glow, and next to no head. Strong, with a bublle-gum sweetness to it, but its alcohol content still dominates this.

Bright clear amber beer, tidy cream colour head. Palate is light and dry and has decent fine minerally carbonation. Surprisingly thin malts, sweet and tangy, caramel tang develops. Tangy dried fruits and tangy banana esters. Light dry finish. Sadly no sherry or port. A bit tangy.
