Bottle split at the Heart Of Northumberland, Hexham, 15/05/2025.
Deep amber with a reddish glint and topped with a light beige cap that dissipates to a swirl.
Nose is biscuit, herb, straw, dull fruit esters.
Taste comprises toffee, brown bread, stewed fruits, grains.
Medium bodied, fine carbonation, drying close.
Passable for the style.

Cask: Poured a brown with orange edges, head was off white. Aroma is rich malts, light fruit. Taste is fruity forward into a big rich malty backbone.

Has weak brownish copper and no foam. Smells of soft toffee, molasses hints. Taste is bitter molasses, slight sweet hops, finishes smooth but wet. Drinkable but that's about it.
