A decadent stout, inspired by the special British ales exported to the Russian Court, during the 18th century. It is black and viscous like crude oil from the oil fields in the Caspian Sea. The flavor is dominated by dark notes of burnt sugar, spicy hops and smokiness from peaked malt.

Probably from the sterk. Best before 04/24, tasting this bottle yesterday with a weather of winter after the summer. Classical and almost perfect imperial stout, really smooth, full aroma of chocolate, vanilla, smooth roasty malt, sweet and bitter, subtle and really pleasant at the palate, alcool well hidden, easy to drink for the style.

Bottle. Dark brown, almost black body with a small brown head. Aroma of peated, quite intense dark malt, it feels almost like sour malt from the aroma – in a good way. Flavor is sweet, strong dark malt, peat, strong coffee, dark chocolate and balanced bitterness. Full boded and long lasting aftertaste. Kind of rough and smooth, strong stout at the same time, solid and nice.

The aromas are coco a, black patent or molasses, smoke and dark malt. Flavors are similar to nose, sweet up front with moderate bitterness and slightly aggressive carbonation. Good beer but personally I prefer less molasses.

500ml bottle. (10% ABV) Pours an opaque dark brown almost black with red hue and a large, creamy, long lasting, tan head that leaves curtains of lace. Sweet aroma of roasted malt, caramel, dark chocolate, licorice and peat. Sweet flavour of roasted malt, dark chocolate, caramel, licorice, toffee, brown sugar, peat, light ash and alcohol with a dry, bitter coffee finish. Medium body with an oily texture and soft carbonation. Not bad. Has an almost whiskey-like character to it.
