(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 12 May 2024) Amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, orange peel and citrus. Fruity, hoppy taste with caramel, orange peel, apricots, resin and a balanced citric/resiny bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet pale malts, touch of honey. Ripeish citrus, floral. Light semi dry finish. Decent flavour could be in better nick.

Cask at Bird in Hand, Stafford. Pours a golden amber with a faiz-sized white head and good lacing. Malts to the fore in the aroma, plus some hints of nuts. In the mouth it has a distinct creamy texture and is slightly sweet overall. Flavours of toffee, honey and some dried fruit. Later summer fruits come through. Finish is slightly dry and fruity. This is decent. Would call it a bitter not a golden ale though.

Rocky off white head on a clear amber coloured body. Malt & tobacco aroma. Medium bodied, smooth & cloying on the back. Toffee, caramel, syrup & honey tastes with a lightly hopped sweet finish. Would like to try from cask.
