A beautiful copper-coloured easy drinking bitter. Rounded fruit flavours with malty, hoppy and nutty undertones and a smooth dry finish. Perfect on its own or as a companion for roast dinners, pies and citrusy puds. 4.5% in bottles.

[50cl bottle from the Co-op, Bromborough, Wirral.] A bright golden amber pour with a fast fading white head and gentle carbonation; malty aroma; soft in the mouth with a sweet malty body and a slight nuttiness; then some grassy bitterness and nut brittle in the finish.

(Cask at Cask Pub & Kitchen, Pimlico, London, 12 May 2024) Amber colour with frothy, tan head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of caramel, orange peel and citrus. Fruity, hoppy taste with caramel, orange peel, apricots, resin and a balanced citric/resiny bitterness. Light body, quite dry. Tasty and refreshing. Quite nice.

GBBF Day 2. Cask. Almost clear gold beer, small pale cream colour head. Smooth palate, reasonable fine carbonation. Sweet pale malts, touch of honey. Ripeish citrus, floral. Light semi dry finish. Decent flavour could be in better nick.
