HOPS: First Gold, Goldings, Progress
MALT: Chocolate, Brown, Crystal & Roasted Barley
YEAST: Nottingham
Named after a stuffed red squirrel that used to live in the Driftwood Spars bar. Sadly, Alfie went walkabout a few years back and hasn’t been seen since; we hope he’s in good company wherever he is!
A strong, rich ale with a beautiful deep polished red colour. alfie’s has a big malt flavour, with chocolate and biscuit notes.

Third by cask on the 2nd day of GBBF Winter 2020, Jewellers' Bar. Shared with Finn. Clear mahogany coloured body, bubbles on the surface, fair lacing. Dark and dried fruity aromas, dates to it. Taste of dates, dried fruits and hints of berries. Dried fruity ending, mid-sweet. Pretty nice. (Birmingham 05.02.2020).
