Cask at Royal Oak. Half-pint shared with Finn. Creamy beige head resting over a coal black body, spotty lacing. Roasted malty aromas containing moments of liquorice and chocolate. Smooth taste of chocolate and liquorice, earthy. Rounded, nicely roasted, mid-sweet malt-driven finish. Fine bodied. Likable. (Bath 27.10.2019).

Bottle shared in London - many thanks to Fergus. Pours clear brown with a frothy, beige topping. Lots of ashy roast present, bitter chocolate, scorched earth and toasted grass. Medium bodied with fine carbonation. Ashy finish, rather dry, more baking cocoa. Nice overall.

Cask at GBBF 2019. Rich malt chocolate aroma. Dark and glossy. Thinning bubbly beige head. Light-medium sour with some light bitter and malty. Quite fruity. Medium bodied. A thin creaminess. Flat carbonation. Long astringent. The aroma promised more but not really complaining.

Level 6 Bottleshare. Thanks to Fergus. Almost opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Thin palate, semi dry, reasonable fine carbonation. Thin tangy dark malts, thin tangy dark chocolate. Bitterish dry tangy fruits. Light dry finish. Annoying me in most departments
