Bottle at home, purchased in 2017 September, so the bottle I reckon is at least 1.5 years old. Deep copper, no head. Nose is quite moderate altogether, and it shows malts, dried fruits, faint woody notes. In taste it’s somewhat more vivid, showcasing sweet malts, some chocolate with a fruity touch. Has surprisingly light body and soft carbonation, seems easy to drink. Idk, I expected the aging to leave a stronger impact.

Это пиво имеет вкус не самого лучшего вина. Хотя при десяти с половиной градусов алкоголь не особо сильно чувствуется. Как по мне лучше просто выпить хорошего красного сухого вина.

75 cl bottle (present from my sis, thanks!) served in a Riedel standard wine glass. Reddish dark brown with a foamy tan head that lasts but a moment. Aroma is intense: loads of licorice, some coffee, dates, soy sauce, prunes and tobacco. Slick, low carbonation, not that sweet (but sweet-ish.) Lacking crispness and high on the bitterness charts. Nice, but not to be drunk on its own, rather pairing it with a tidbit (that's actually what they want us to do, btw.)

Bottled, from Carrefour, Sa Coma, Mallorca. Dark brown, small head. Caramelly nose. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Dense caramel, pretty much nothing else. Mild peppery finish. So this is what macro Barley Wine tastes like!?

Opaque brown with a thin filmy head. Smell has dried fruit, malt. Taste is very malty, toffee, apple, dried fruit, chocolate. It was served a touch colder than I'd like but it's rich and smooth and very tasty. It says it's designed to go with puddings and I think that'd work perfectly. Surprisingly tame in the aftertaste.

The beer starts grainy sweetish with sticky parts. Sweetish sticky, caramel, sticky ending.
