Thanks fonefan! Pitch black colour with a mediumsized brown head. Aroma is toasted, chocolaty and mild roasted malty with some wooden tones too. Flavour is chocolaty, toasted, mild ashy elements with some wood as well. Very smooth and also rather tasty.

Sample, thanks fonefan! Dark brown, small head. Toasty nose with coffee and hay. Mid dry with light body and crisp, rounded mouthfeel. Burnt toast, coffee and a touch of licorice. Long bitter finish.

Draft Willebecher glass at Voodoo Brewing Company in West Chester, Ohio. The pour is an opaque brown black with a well formed and lasting one inch tan head. The aroma is sweet caramel malt and some soft roast. The taste has a cherry sweet, almost cough medicine flavor initially, then opens up to more traditional caramel malt, and closes with a whisper of the roast from the nose. As the beer warms, I get an earthy leafy character which is nice. The palate is medium bodied with low carbonation and the lingering cherry medicinal.

Pour is a midnight black with a small tan head. Aroma is some burnt malt and a little coffee and leather. Flavor is more burnt malt some bitter bakers chocolate and molasses. Pretty thick and flavorful full of burnt malt and just the right amount of sweetness to keep this interesting.

Canned at the brewery. Black with beige head. Solid dark lager. Roasty chocolate, licorice. Would prefer it drier. Light to medium bodied.
