Sometimes the simple things in life are the best. We take Pilsner malt from Germany and combine with three traditional hop varieties – Magnum, Perle and Hallertauer Mittelfruh – to produce a clean, unfiltered, Hop Bitter Lager Beer.

An accidental beer, having tried to take Adnams Spruce Ale off the shelf I decided to take it from the rear of the shelf as to not mess-up the supermarket workers' display efforts, but this one must have been lurking on the wrong level and I only realised once home. Nevertheless it's a decent hoppy lager, plenty of flavour, fair nose, lingering aftertaste, slightly dry but quite crisp at the same time.

(Can) Golden colour, slightly hazy, with frothy white head. Malty, slightly hoppy nose with notes of bread, grain, citrus, hay and herbal hops. Malty taste with bread, grain, grass, citrus and a balanced herbal bitterness in the finish. Medium body, dry. Refreshing and well balanced. Nice one.

Can from Utobier drunk watching the Staten Island vampires in the basement theater. Lightly hazy medium gold, nose of fresh ripe grains. Relatively dry but with nice flavor and medium slim body, super clean hop taste, definitely fits the pils bill. Very drinkable.

Lovely fresh, hoppy Pilsner. Clear pale gold with a bubbly white head. Grassy nose with a hint of lemon, moderately carbonated with a bit of hop bite, floral and grassy with a touch of pepper spice

16oz can. Sweet nose, malt and honey and some dough. Flavor essentially follows. A little straw, some light hop and then all the malt and honey. Lightly sweet finish.

Alright. Got a bit of creamy earthiness about it if that makes any kind of sense.
