Reviewed from notes.
Bottle to tulip.
Appearance: deep dark black in color with a one finger off white foamy head which slid off pretty quick and didn't leave any lace
Aroma: dark roasted malts, some roasty coffee tones, baker's chocolate; some milk chocolate, dark bread and a light woody spice
Flavor: blends the prior noted aromas sweetly with a touch of that woody spice coming in for a sly balance; no aftertaste
Texture: medium bodied, good as a sipper; some roasty grip on the tongue but nothijng distracting; finishes semi-dry and roasty
Overall: I say a nicely done imperial stout well worthy of returning to.

A sinus-clearing heavy dark roasted coffee nose, a significant tan head on a dense black body. If you like your imperial stouts heavy on the dark roasted coffee end of the spectrum, this is your beer. Unsweetened cocoa and dark chocolate keep this stout on the dark end of the taste spectrum. Alcohol is present, but not out of place. End taste has a little balancing hops and biscuity malt. Maybe not Dieu du Ciel’s most refined Imperial stout, but a lovely addition to the fold.

Bottled. A dark pour and eventually a tan head forms. Very roasty, dark chocolate, bitterness and a hint of spice. Pretty good.

Bottle at home, köszi Kini! Pours jet black wit brown head. It’s coffee, roasted notes, cocoa powder, some fruits all over with a touch of booze. Medium to heavy bodied with average to soft carbo. An oldschool RIS, and quite good at that.

On tap at the brewpub.
Jet black pour, big mocha head. Huge aroma of roasted, burnt malts. Sme hops are present, but this is a big roasted malt, smoky, intense stout. Quite bitter, and there are notes of coffee and licorice. A wonderful roastiness grabs your throat and doesnt let go. Very nice!

Bottiglia.

LCI. Super roasty with lots of coffee, could have some more body to support.
that's good. it's got some caramel notes. it's not bad. I don't see how it's tim's favourite but it's good.
