Clear golden, light sweet lemon smell. Tangy fruit taste. A touch of hop but it’s mostly the fruit which gets a touch sickly.

Bottle. Slightly cloudy amber coloured beer with a strong bubbly head and a fizzy bubbly body. The aroma is dry with gently yeastiness, and the flavour is very dry and hopped with yeastiness. Overall a reasonable well hopped and very dry tasting beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Bottled (backlog). Hazy orangeish amber colour with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is fruity, floral, nectary and mildly honeyish with some bready and toffeeish malts as well. Flavour is very similar in a good balance. Quite sweet overall, but also has a nice mellow bitterness to it.

Cask @ Soup Kitchen, Manchester. Clear golden with a small head. Mainly hopped, although there’s a pleasant bitterness attached to this ale as well. There’s a small sweetness here too, mostly evident in its nose.

Bottle @ home. Clear rusty orange color, medium sized quite quickly diminishing white head that leaves fair to good lacing. Aroma is malts, spicy hops, citrussy. Tastes alike: again citrussy, spicy hops, a bit zesty and some orangepeel and a decent to firm maltyness. A bit too sharp / too much hop spicyness for me. Average body and carbonation.

Bottle from Valhalla’s Goat. Hazy bronze body with a thin off-white head. Lively carbonation. Light lacing. Aroma of lime sherbet, green apple and tonic water. Flavour of grapefruit, bitter lemon and caramel. Thin body with a spritzy mouthfeel. Very fizzy. Sharp and zesty.

Bottle 33cl. Clear pale amber, many tiny bubbles, large frothy white head, mostly lasting, good flocky lacing; fresh citrus aroma, grapefruit, some caramel; taste is medium bitter and slightly sweet, citrus, spicy notes; medium body, oily texture, quite sharp on the tongue, average carbonation, aftertaste is dry bitter, peppery notes, earthy feel; good but too dry for a bitter, not really a session ale.

On cask @ Cloisters. Appearance - pale golden with a decent head. Nose - light citrus and green notes. Like plant stocks but maybe getting into lime. Taste - more of the green plant thing, light lemon and dry green leaf finish. Palate - light bodied with a lean dry middle section, albeit with a bit of creaminess and a long dry finish. Overall - a bit on the dry side to drink more than one.
