Dunkler Doppelbock mit 7,6 % Alkohol und unbekannter Stammwürze. Klares, tiefdunkles rot.

Bottle picked up from Appel Getränke, Moosburg and consumed at home Sunday 13th June 2021 . We had homemade Pizza in the wood oven. Pours chestnut in colour with a small off white head. On the nose is dark sticky fruits, some caramel and a maltiness. In the mouth it's sweet malts, a light roastiness, a little toast, caramel again, light bitterness, dark dried fruits. Good and I enjoyed this but perhaps expecting just a little bit more from this.

Dark brown with almost no head. Aroma is plums, figs, grapes, slight butter, toffee malt, slight anise, yum! Taste is sweet dried fruit with some slightly roasted caramel bitterness. Very fine tuned and not alcoholic. Quaffable and full bodied, with long roasty finish. An excellent Doppelbock.

Bottled 500ml (PBF, BB 08/2012)
Deep copper color, small beige head. Malty, a bit toasty but also a bit cardboardish aroma. Full-bodied. Sweet, raisiny maltyness. Some backing alcohol in the finish. Lingering sweetness in the aftertaste. Tasty, aroma is a bit off-putting.

Dunkel-malziger Antrunk, etwas herb. Bottle (courtesy of joss!): Very deep amber coloured, clear, with a medium-sized stable off-white head; distinctive fruity (dried fruits - that’s understood), almondy and dark-malty nose; solid bitter-sweet flavour, medium bodied, smooth; lingering roasty-sweetish finish. Good, easy-drinking Doppelbock..........
