Bottle picked up at Prestige Wine Merchants, Norbury and drunk at the London home (05/08/2022) - almost clear golden pour with a white head. Sweet with notes of malt, corn, some papery wet cardboard, straw, light metallic edge, watery thin subdued hoppy finish. Not great but first Ethiopian ✅

0.33 l bottle from 'Bierothek', 5% abv, brewed by Bavaria. Clear, golden with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sweetish, malty and minimally grassy aroma of grains, some straw and a touch of corn. Gently sweet, malty, moderately bitter taste of grains, some straw and light corn, followed by a short, moderately bitter, minimally grassy-spicy finish. Thin to medium body, gently effervescent mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Average pale lager, a country tick at least.
