Solvognen Blue Crab, A friend and I first brewed this beer in 1979 for a beach party on Pine Island in Florida. I had joined the American Homebrewers Association in 1978 and had received several newsletters and publications on where to buy malt, hops, yeast and brewing equipment. This made Blue Crab possible. Sample, thanks oh6gdx! Almost clear copper colour, coarse head. Toasty nose. Mid dry with medium vody and clean mouthfeel. Grainy toast, mild leafy hops. Mid bitter finish.

Hazy orange colour, small white foamy head. Aroma is grassy, herbal, some grainy and bready tones to it. Flavour is biscuity, grassy, herbal and some mild bready tones. Herbal and sweet grainy aftertaste.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours dark amber with a slight haze and a small, lacing, off-white head. Somewhat farty aroma atop some biscuity malts. Medium body, dry and dusty biscuity and crystal malts with quite some balancing bitterness. Quite decent. 131125
