Recommended for those with a sweeter palate. Good with a traditional Ploughman’s lunch or any meal with crusty bread and pickles.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts, online. Pours clear gold with some small white foam. Aroma of mellow apple juice, white sugars, some vanilla. Taste of lightly stewed apples, sweet sugars, apple skins, light drying finish. Very sessionable and good fruitiness. Lacks a bit of complexity but tasty.

Bottle. Dark golden or burnt amber if such a colour exist. Medium dry and rich with its apple, almost autumn spiced with its strength providing a lot of depth to the cider.

From bottle at Harbour Lights, Falmouth, Cornwall, on tour to 22 southern counties with OGJ and EE 04.01.18. Clear dark golden. White head is diminishing to nothing. Refreshing aroma and taste of fresh apples, apple zest, sulphur and leather. Bitterness is lingering on.

500 ml bottle. Juicy apple nose, some spice and caramel, touch of sharpness. Nice tannins in the mouth, full apple flavor, a bit too sweet, but the big, tingly tannins balance it quite well. Light carbonation and a light touch of barnyard.

500ml bottle from the producer. Pours deep gold. Lightly fruity, slightly fuzzy and quite flavoursome. Could do with more fuzzy farmhouse flavours, and seems a bit thin in that regard but still a very tasty drop.

33cl bottle from Appellation Wines. Appearance - golden to amber with no head and very few bubbles. Nose - nice sour nose reminiscent of proper Scrumpy. Cooking apples primarily. Taste - not quite as sour and it’s more like eating apples, though still in a fresh form. Palate - light to medium bodied with a tangy texture and a long dry finish. Overall -

Bottle/ jug at a ChrisO tasting - London. Pours pale yellow with a few bubbles for a head. Ripe apples on the nose. Medium sweet flavor, light spices, sugary apples. Light bodied with fine carbonation. Fairly sweet to finish, lightly funky, with more ripe apples. Alright overall, but nothing special.

500 ml clear jug-style bottle, from Voldby Købmandsgård, Denmark. ABV is 5.0%. Dark orange coloured cider, hazy. No head nor carbonation. Strong and pleasant aroma of oxidised cider apples, also notes of oak and sulphites. The flavour is medium dry, oaky with notes of very oxidised apples. Could use som more sour apples and a "fresh" character. Dry, "dusty" and rather bland finish, with just a hint of bitter cider apples and sulphites. Would probably feel fresher if carbonated.
